Andria - grotte di Sant'Andrea - foto (vintage photos)

  The Caves of Sant'Andrea, also known as "little Matera", were a complex of rock dwellings located in the historic center of Andria, in Puglia.  They were so called because they were located close to the first city church, dedicated to Sant'Andrea, and the homonymous access gate to the city.

Gallo was a true pioneer who experimented with various cinematic techniques and helped develop a distinctly Argentinian film language. His movies, often focused on social and historical themes, greatly impacted Argentinian audiences and solidified cinema as a form of entertainment and cultural expression. Beyond directing, Gallo was also a prolific writer and journalist who played a significant role in promoting Argentinian cinema internationally.
